Head of HR, Microsoft Canada
As the Vice President of HR for Canada, Cherise Mendoza oversees our people, culture, and transformation strategies that enable Microsoft’s employees and teams to reach their full potential.
Having been with Microsoft since 2005, Cherise’s experience has spanned three continents, working across multiple HR disciplines including Subsidiary Leadership, Talent Management & Acquisition and Learning & Development. Prior to leading HR for Microsoft Canada, Cherise led HR for the Microsoft subsidiary covering 49 countries across West, East, Central Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, which, like Canada, was diverse in culture, and vast in geography.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Cherise spent several years working at a privately held software company partnering with multiple organizations in both a Recruitment and HR Business Partnering capacity. Cherise hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Outside of work, Cherise and her husband Larry spend their time devoted to their four children. She loves sports, actively plays soccer and tennis and enjoys time reading, entertaining friends and family and traveling to new places.
